Since starting his apprenticeship in Double Bay twenty years ago at fine dining restaurant Ziggalinies, Chris Allanson, one of Australia’s leading chefs now calls the Gold Coast nightlife his play ground.
Being primarily trained in French and Asian cuisine for the restaurant industry, Chris moved up and down the east coast of Australia establishing his career and craft. In 1993 he bought his first restaurant in Manly and it was listed in the Good Food Guide due to a great deal of local support. He then spent twelve years in the Sydney restaurant scene before moving to Melbourne where he purchased and refurbished one of the city’s oldest hotels transforming the ‘pub’ style menu, atmosphere and setting into an up-market high quality restaurant.
He embraces creativity and prides himself in designing a variety of dishes that utilise the extensive range of fresh produce available here in Australia - now available on the Gold Coast. Taking influence from Greek, Italian, French and Asian cuisine Chris’ menu is nothing short of pristine and delicious with an exciting new flair that the Gold Coast will soon be famous for..

Twenty1 is open 6 days a week
Lunch is available Tuesdays to Saturday from 12:00pm until 2:30pm
Dinner is available Tuesdays to Sunday from 6:00pm until 9:30pm
CLOSED MONDAYS ALL DAY & NIGHT
The Twenty1 kitchen stays open all night with bar snacks available through until 5:00am
